telling the truth about nature

Sand itself has a story, one that knows about God’s dream too. This 5-story series is about all God’s creation, and humanity’s relationship to it.

Our approach begins with noticing:

Humanity’s relationship with nature tells a lie about who we are. It says humanity and nature are two different things.

But we know a deeper truth: People are deeply entwined in all creation because we all flow out of God’s Love. When we recognize our interdependence, we receive the Peace of God that is all around us in creation.

These stories help communities recognize this truth, explore how the lie has been constructed and resisted in history, and find hope that it is not too late to find right relationship with creation. Historical figures featured include Rachel Carson, Wangari Maathai, Frank Lloyd Wright, and Wendell Berry.

Through our Montessori-inspired storytelling approach, we make this challenging topic accessible to people of all ages—not by oversimplifying history, but by focusing on essential truths that speak to both heart and mind.
